Rescue efforts are under way after a oil rig explosion in Gulf.The U.S. Coast Guard says that all 13 workers involved in the rig explosion are accounted for, but one person is injured.Coast Choppers are on the way to the site 80 miles south of Vermilion Bay.An oil rig has exploded 80 miles off the coast of Louisiana, with 12 people overboard and one missing, the Coast Guard said Thursday morning.Rescue attempts are under way for at least 12 people. 13 people were on board the rig total, Edwards said, noting 12 have been accounted for, but one person was missing.The accident took place 80 miles off the coast of Louisiana on the Vermilion Oil rig 380, which is owned by Houston-based Mariner Energy.The Coast Guard has multiple helicopters, an airplane and several Coast Guard cutters en route. It’s unknown if there are any injuries.

Our Gang, also known as The Little Rascals  or Hal Roach’s Rascals, was a series of American comedy short films about a group of poor neighborhood children and the adventures they had together. Created by comedy producer Hal Roach, Our Gang was produced at the Roach studio starting in 1922 as a silent short subject series. Roach changed distributors from Pathé to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) in 1927, went to sound in 1929 and continued production until 1938, when he sold the series to MGM. MGM in turn continued producing the comedies until 1944. A total of 220 shorts and one feature film, General Spanky, were eventually produced, featuring over forty-one child actors. In the mid-1950s, the 80 Roach-produced shorts with sound were syndicated for television under the title The Little Rascals, as MGM retained the rights to the Our Gang trademark.The series is noted for showing children behaving in a relatively natural way. Drilling has begun as part of an effort to reach the 33 miners who have been trapped underground in Chile for more than three weeks.The effort to drill through more than 2,300 feet (700 meters) of rock and safely extract the workers could take three to four months. The hole currently under way is the excavation hole, where the drill bit will be placed.The miners have been stuck in the desert copper-and-gold mine since an August 5 cave-in and are surviving on supplies funneled to them from above ground through three bore holes, each about four inches in diameter.Rescue officials have said they plan to send down food over the next few days. There are also plans to send down more beds, which is a slow process, said Ximena Mata, the Chilean government’s point person.Until now, the men living in what they have dubbed “Refuge 33″ have been surviving on liquids. The 2010-2011 season is almost here. Is it the season of the switch? Will LaBron James get the last laugh?Charles Barkley thinks LaBron’s decision was a punk move. ESPN has been accused to pandering to the basketball superstar. So what does Labron think about all of this? Well if you wanted to ask him, you would have to fly to Vegas. He has been partying in Vegas, insulting the people of Cleveland and promising payback to all that have crossed him and criticized his decisions. He is King James.Barkley knows something about not wining championships. He never one one. Charles knows something about jumping ship. He left Philly for Phoenix to try and win a ring. It never happened.Charles is old for a basketball player. Sometimes old people who have made mistakes in their lives are the best critics of young people who are making the same mistakes. With Dwayne Wade’s boy LaBron being called out by Charles does this mean the Round Mound of Rebound aka Barkley won’t do anymore T-Mobile commercials with D-Wade?Last season LaBron took over 1,500 shots in Cleveland. This season he gets them in Miami. He was heckled at a Cedar Point amusement park in Ohio while shooting baskets. He is avoiding hanging out in Cleveland because frankly no one wants him there.As a result, LaBron says he is motivated to come back to Cleveland and beat his old team. (more…)

Seriously what is real anymore? Friends, lovers, your employer, your government? Well there is one thing you can count on as real, a belief in UFOs. Since the beginning of time humans have looked to the skies for the answers. Shiny spinning objects in the sky has been a preoccupation with anybody who has a high IQ, is high or has too much time on their hands.This episode of UFO finds a group of geeks in a small rural mountain town with nothing to do. Somewhere in time in the decade known as the 1970’s there was a small town called Lanesville, and a group of hippies at a local public access TV station spoofed trying to find extraterrestrials.This close encounter of the slackers kind finds the Lanesville crew jokingly investigating a UFO sighting and they get the whole community to play along. Yes it is a very low budget spoof, yes the acting is bad, but this was guerilla broadcasting to about 100 households in the early 1970s when videtape was 3/4″ wide on reels. What do you want? It’s internet programing before there was an internet. Maybe they know more than us. Maybe they were assisted by interplanetary beings to bring us a message. First Stoneheng, The Egyptian Pyramids and now Lanesville. Pay no attention to the poorly executed special effects, it was the 70’s. He bought the Yankees in 1973 for 8 milion dollars. At his press conference he told reporters he planned on not getting involved in daily affairs for he was not a baseball man. Tell that to Billy Martin.He contributed money to Nixon’s second term in office, obstructed justice and was pardoned by Ronald Reagan. Ants are social insects of the family Formicidae (pronounced /fɔrˈmɪsɨdiː/) and, along with the related wasps and bees, belong to the order Hymenoptera. Ants evolved from wasp-like ancestors in the mid-Cretaceous period between 110 and 130 million years ago and diversified after the rise of flowering plants. More than 12,500 out of an estimated total of 22,000 species have been classified. They are easily identified by their elbowed antennae and a distinctive node-like structure that forms a slender waist.Like all insects, ants have six legs. Each leg has three joints. The legs of the ant are very strong so they can run very quickly. If a man could run as fast for his size as an ant can, he could run as fast as a racehorse.
