Paul McCartney is ready to tie the knot with girlfriend Nancy Shevell. The couple, who have been dating for four years, are now engaged, a rep for McCartney tells CNN. According to People, McCartney, 68, first began romancing Shevell, 51, during a summer in the Hampton’s in 2007. A source tells the magazine that the two are made for each other. “They have the right chemistry,” the source said. “They’re both cool, chilled out and optimistic.”

Christina Aguilera has split with husband Jordan Bratman, according to her representative.” Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever,” Aguilera said in a statement released Tuesday through her representative. The 29-year-old singer-actress and the 33-year-old music executive married five years ago. Their son, Max, was born two years ago. Aguilera co-stars with Cher in “Burlesque,” a major feature film set for a Thanksgiving release. Aguilera cited “irreconcilable differences” in her divorce petition, which was filed in October 2010. It’s an interesting twist, since inside sources tell a story of Christina causing the marriage to fall apart after Aguilera allegedly cheated on Bratman. Aguilera’s side refused comment. According to the divorce docs, there is a prenup. The divorce petition asks that “Earnings and accumulations of [Aguilera] before marriage, during marriage and from and after the date of separation” be considered separate property. Aguilera, who is represented by disso-queen Laura Wasser, lists the date of separation as September 11, 2010. The petition also seeks to terminate Bratman’s ability to get spousal support. Aguilera is seeking joint physical and legal custody of their child, Max, who is 2. For better or for worse Aguilera does what she wants when she wants it. The genie is out of the bottle. Lindsay Lohan’s future includes a new fashion line, two new movies, some time in jail and another stint in rehab. The actress was sentenced Tuesday to 90 days in jail and 90 days in a residential substance-abuse program for violating her probation, stemming from two separate 2007 cases of driving under the influence of cocaine and alcohol. She is to surrender and begin her jail sentence July 20. Rehab will follow. The punishment levied by Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel will keep Lohan from promoting “Machete,” the Robert Rodriguez action film due in theaters in September. 20th Century Fox, which is releasing the film, had no comment. Lohan’s jail and rehab sentence will also delay production on “Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story,” in which the 24-year-old actress plays the starring role of the famed porn star. Writer-director Matthew Wilder said after the probation ruling that he and his crew remain “100 percent behind Lindsay. We are proud to have this remarkable artist work on our film”.
