Approximately 1,000 employees from 24 companies participated in the EarthShare of Georgia Earth Day 2010 Corporate Green Day Challenge, volunteering at 20 locations to clean up parks and stream banks, plant gardens, mulch trees and trails. This year, Bank of America and Tomorrow Pictures were the winning teams. Bank of America’s participation went from 30 in 2009 to 250 this year at Chastain Park, and first time participant Tomorrow Pictures brought their entire staff of 9 and EOS Marketing to help improve Riverside Community Garden, an inner city community project. A special thanks goes to Park Pride for hosting projects at Washington Park, West End Park, Orme Park and co-hosting projects with the Friends of Collins Park. As an EarthShare of Georgia member group, they are leading the way in the move to create world-class parks in the City of Atlanta! Other EarthShare of Georgia member groups that provided projects this year were Callaway Gardens, Georgia Organics, Reynolds Nature Preserve, Trees Atlanta and the Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper.
