Soupy Sales, the slapstick comedian who perfected the pie-in-the-face whizbang on his 1960s comedy show, has passed away at the age of 83. As the star of “The Soupy Sales Show,” he performed live on television for 13 years in Detroit, Los Angeles and New York before the program went into syndication around the world. Ostensibly for children, the show had broad appeal among adults who found Sales’ puns, gags and pratfalls deliciously corny and camp. Continue reading ‘Pie in the Sky: RIP Soupy Sales!’

It’s the end of October, which means the baseball playoffs are taking center stage in the sports world! In celebration, tomorrowpictures.TV is proud to present The Jackie Robinson Story! This B-movie Docudrama stars Robinson as himself, and the gorgeous Ruby Dee as Robinson’s wife, Rachel. The acting isn’t great (Ms. Dee excepted), the budget is obviously low, and the story glosses over much of the racism Robinson encountered in his early years, but this is a chance to see one of the greatest baseball players in history in his prime. Watch the Jackie Robinson Story part 2 on tomorrowpictures.TV!
