President Barack Obama. Roll that title around on your tongue a couple of times. Feels good, doesn’t it? After eight long years of a paranoid, insular, apocalyptic, seriously dumbed-down Presidency, America has overwhelmingly rejected the darkness of a fear-stained night for the growing brightness of a hopeful dawn. In America, we tend to take the peaceful transition of power from one administration to another lightly, as if it were something that occurs organically in well-maintained societies. As much of the rest of world understands, this is not normally the case. Take a few minutes to watch this video and then give some serious thought to sharing with the Obama administration (and tomorrowpictures.TV) the hard work and attendant sacrifice that will be necessary to regain America’s proud place among the leaders of our increasingly turbulent world.
