Who is Samantha Lockwood? Whew. Where to begin? Samantha Lockwood is an actress, an artist, a yoga instructor. More importantly, Samantha is a self-aware human being. Let’s spend some time with Sam…
She was born in Los Angeles and raised in Malibu and La Quinta, CA. She achieved outstanding academics (a 4.2 average) at Palm Valley Prep School and attended UC Santa Cruz. Her father is the iconic actor Gary Lockwood, widely known for Sci-Fi work and especially as Dr. Frank Poole in “2001: A Space Odyssey.” Her mother, Denise DuBarry, is also an actress and now infomercial mogul who started Thane Marketing. Samantha first got the acting bug doing on-camera hosting for her mom’s company. During her summers starting at the age of 15 she studied with film coach Aaron Speiser and Stewart Moss. She has studied and coached with a long list of teachers since then. To this day Samantha swears her best acting coaches have been her father and acclaimed coach Robert Easton. One of her first roles was in Catherine Hardwick’s “Lords of Dogtown.” Since then she’s co-starred on “CSI: New York.”
Samantha gives back by donating her art to many charitable organizations such as Desert Samaritan’s, The American Cancer Society, Women In Film and A United Journey to Humanity– just to name a few. Her work has been featured in many interviews and magazines making Samantha not just a pretty face or an actress, but an artistic entity. Did we mention her numerous awards for mastering the art of yoga?
Deep breath. Tomorrow Pictures.TV is proud to present not only a talented artist but one of the most popular personalities and hosts on our network. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls: Samantha Lockwood.
