Always Relevant, Always Funny: Ask Jesse Jackson!

Jesse JacksonAfter seeing the question posed on CNN.com “Is the Reverend Still Relevant?”, we here at tomorrowpictures.TV would like to say that–at the very least–he’s really funny! This challenge to Jackson’s relevancy stemmed from his inappropriate comments about Senator Barack Obama during a “private” conversation with another interviewee while speaking to a Fox News correspondent. Jackson claims he didn’t realize the microphone was on, and proceeded to apologize for his comments (that Obama talks down to black people, and that he wants to cut Obama’s nuts off) and for any damage that he may have caused to Obama’s campaign. However, when asked if the Reverend is envious of Obama’s political success, Jackson responded with “That’s kind of ridiculous. He’s running the last lap of a 54-year marathon. He is running that race. I am a part of that race.” Jackson’s comment made on CNN’s “American Morning” referring to the modern civil rights struggle has apparently brought up the question of whether or not he really is still a viable part of the race. Jackson ran for the Democratic nomination in 1984 and 1988. However, in celebration of Rev. Jackson’s accomplishments in the civil rights movement, we went out on the streets to see what you the people wanted to ask him–and he has your answers exclusively on tomorrowpictures.TV!
