February is Black History Month in America, and tomorrowpictures.TV is proud to take part in this celebration of the contributions of peoples of African heritage to the growth of our nation. In the first episode of the ongoing series Blackside Storybook, host Faye Bellamy introduces us to civil rights activist Donald Stone. Stone, a cousin to film director Spike Lee, has been involved with the Struggle nearly all his life, belonging at various times to the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, the Black Worker’s Congress and the African Liberation Support Committee. In Part 1, Donald Stone speaks to a group of children about what it was like to grow up black in the American South in the 1940s, tells of the school his grandfather founded and developed for black children, and speaks of his experiences with racial segregation. In Part 2, Mr. Stone relates what it was like to be a part of the fermenting Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s: taking part in sit-ins and protests and encountering the danger and violence of those opposed to equality among all peoples. Watch Part 2!

With early performances from Old, Old, Old School Richard Pryor, pre-Lando Calrissian Billy Dee Williams and NFL All-Pro Rosie Grier, this Socially Conscious Blaxploitation Flick is a very entertaining Must-See!
Diddy owes Craig Mack big time! Mack basically put Puff Daddy’s Bad Boy records on the map with a remix of his 1994 hit “Flava in Ya Ear.” Impressed with Mack’s work on a Mary J. Blige remix, Diddy offered him a contract on his fledgling record label. When the remix of the top single “Flava in Ya Ear” went Platinum, suddenly everybody was rolling in the Benjamins! Featuring a cavalcade of East Coast talent: the Notorious B.I.G., Rampage, LL Cool J, and Busta Rhymes, it was one of the first posse tracks to go aboveground large: “Flava in Ya Ear” was a Top Ten pop hit, and number one on the rap and dance charts.
