This Ain’t No Army, It’s A Circus: Richard Pryor and Billy Dee Williams in Aaron Spelling’s Black Brigade Episode 2!

aaron spellingIn Episode 2 of The Black Brigade, Captain Carter (Stephen Boyd) and Lieutenant Wallace (Robert Hooks) battle over the worthiness of Company B to take part in combat action. Wallace insists that the men have been filling trenches and digging latrines because that’s all the Army thinks they can do. Now’s their chance to prove the Man wrong! The Black Brigade (also known as Carter’s Army) was written and produced by Aaron Spelling in 1969. With early performances from Old, Old, Old School Richard Pryor, pre-Lando Calrissian Billy Dee Williams and NFL All-Pro Rosie Grier, this Socially Conscious Blaxploitation Flick is a very entertaining Must-See!
