It was ten years ago on August 31 that Diana, Princess of Wales, a figure adored around the globe for her beauty, grace and charity, was killed in a horrific car crash outside of Paris. Who is to blame for her tragic death is still a subject of debate, but there is no argument that our world is a darker place without her presence. tomorrowpictures.TV is proud to bring you Charles Edward Maurice Spencer, the 9th Earl Spencer and Diana’s brother, delivering an inspired eulogy for his beloved sister. Rest in Peace, Diana.
It’s been 2 years now since Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast region. Are things getting anywhere close to normal? Well, as a friend of mine, a life-long New Orleanian now settled in Orlando, said to me recently, “It will be years before New Orleans is ready to accept us back.” The same can be said for Biloxi, Gulfport, and every other coastal city that was pummeled by Katrina’s force. Few people were prepared for the aftermath of a Category Four Storm.
So the big question is, now that we’re entering into the next Hurricane Season, what have we learned from the debacle that was Katrina? Are we as citizens more prepared for that inevitable time when disaster strikes? Is our government more willing (or able) to aid Americans in need when the next storm comes bearing down upon our shores? Recently tomorrowpictures.TV sat down with the political action group Radical Women as they debated the fallout from Hurricane Katrina.
Tomorrowpictures.TV lives in Los Angeles, and sometimes we get so jaded that we forget why tourists go to Hollywood Blvd. It’s not a very nice place, it’s kind of dirty, and there are way too many t-shirt shops. So, we asked our favorite tourist, Dirty Diana, why she goes down to Hollywood Blvd. She said, “To gape.” We’re not sure what that means, exactly, but we got a drunk guy to wrangle cable and followed her. Here, Diana checks out her favorite stars, figures out what the emblems on them stand for, and makes crude jokes about Dolly Parton.

By the time Tears for Fears released their landmark album Songs from the Big Chair in 1985, they were already huge in England based on their first release, 1983’s The Hurting. 1985 saw TFF hit the Music Video Lotto, when they had worldwide hits with “Shout”, “Head Over Heels”, and “Everybody Wants to Rule the World”. Here the brown-eyed boys from Bath, England get philosophical about our pretty blue planet and the maniacal men we let run it!
Sly Stone was a man ahead of his time. His band, the Family Stone, was a mixed bag of races, genders, and styles. His music was an eclectic Funk Rock Soul combination that preached love and tolerance and appealed to a wide variety of people (check out the funky audience Sly has here). Two of his biggest hits were Everyday People and Dance to the Music, and here Sly and the Family perform a medley of the two songs for a 1968 television audience. Different Strokes for Different Folks, Now Get Up and Dance Brothers and Sisters!
By Day Dennis Kucinich is the mild-mannered congressman who represents Ohio’s 10th District. By night he’s a Democratic Presidential candidate and one of the fiercest critics of President Bush’s increasingly unpopular war in Iraq. Among Kucinich’s challenges to the current administration were articles of impeachment introduced against Vice President Dick Cheney. “The Vice President actively and systematically sought to deceive the citizens and Congress about an alleged threat of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction. He has purposely manipulated the intelligence process to deceive us about the relationship between Iraq and al Qaeda. And he openly lied to the America people and has publicly threatened aggression against Iran,” Kucinich said.
