Barbie is a blond all-American girl with an impossible figure and flawless plastic skin. It only makes sense, then, that her unofficial theme song should be an insanely catchy spoof of both Barbie and her feminist detractors performed by a Danish dance-pop group with a brunette singer. Mattel didn’t much like the underlying sexuality of the tune, but since they saddled Barbie with a gay boyfriend, there really wasn’t much of a legal leg to stand on.
