Davy Jones Dies At 66

Davy Jones at age 66 dies from a heart attack. Jones is best known for his career as the lead singer of the band The Monkees. Davy Jones was born in Manchester, England and pursued other talents such as acting. From 1965 to 1971, Jones was a member of The Monkess. He sang lead vocals for many of the recording such as “I Wanna Be Free’ and “Daydream Believer”

Living the Life of Riley!

The Life of Riley, was a popular American radio situation comedy series of the 1940s that was adapted into a 1949 feature film, a long-run 1950s television series, and a 1958 comic book.

The Life of Riley was a show began as a proposed Groucho Marx radio series, The Flotsam Family. Then producer Irving Brecher saw Bendix as taxicab company owner Tim McGuerin in Hal Roach’s The McGuerins from Brooklyn. The Flotsam Family was reworked with Bendix cast as the confused Chester A. Riley, a wing riveter at the fictional Cunningham Aircraft plant in California. His frequent exclamation of exasperation, “What a revoltin’ development this is!” became one of the most famous catchphrases of the 1940s.

PlayBoy After Dark

With magazine sales topping 5.5 million a month, Hugh Hefner entered the television arena with Playboy After Dark, a 26-week color version of his earlier series, Playboy’s Penthouse.

The show portrayed what was said to be a typical party at Hefner’s place, complete with Playboy Playmates and celebrities, who would then chat with Hefner and perform for the party. An elaborate $35,000 bachelor pad set was built on a CBS Hollywood soundstage, complete with a den, sunken living room, and curvaceous bar. Twenty girls and nineteen guys provided the atmosphere and mingled with exceptional guest stars.

The Sudden Death of Whitney Houston

The world is mourning the loss of one of the greatest performers of all time, Whitney Houston. While early reports suggested that Whitney Houston might have accidentally drowned in her hotel room’s bathtub, TMZ is now reporting that the cause of death may have been a lethal combination of Xanax, alcohol, and other prescription drugs.

Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born into a musical family on 9 August 1963, in Newark, New Jersey, the daughter of gospel star Cissy Houston, cousin of singing star Dionne Warwick and goddaughter of soul legend Aretha Franklin.
